Although PWCS is unable to provide instruction or class assignments to students while schools remain closed, our School Division hopes that the suggestions for optional learning activities posted here will help parents support student learning until schools re-open. Please remember that use of these materials and participation in these activities are optional and neither grades nor course credit will be awarded.

PWCS has a Home Learning page of resources

I am the teacher of students with autism middle school grade.  I work closely with general education teachers to ensure that all students are provided with materials at their level.  I also teach ELA, math, science, social studies, life skills, and social skills.  There are two assistants, Mrs. Nash and Mrs. Borroff that also provide support to students in the classroom and in the general education setting.

I have been a teacher for  a total of 6 years, 4 of those here are at the Nokesville School.  I have a Bachelor’s Degree from Penn State University and a Master’s Degree from Liberty University.

PLEASE SEE MICROSOFT TEAMS PAGES FOR CLASSWORK AND MORE LINKS FOR VIRTUAL LEARNING.  Instructions below and also in a word document on the Files and Documents page.

Directions for accessing Microsoft Teams:
Mrs. Becker, as well as all grade level, is using Teams through MS Office 365 for notes and worksheets instead of posting on the School Messenger Website.  Students can access this on the Nokesville Symbaloo with their login and password. The student login is the first six letters of the last name, first initial, middle initial, and the same password they use for computer logins.
For a student named “Student New Nokesville” in the 7th grade the log in would be as seen:

You can also go to and log in as above.  Once logged in you can utilize Microsoft Office Suite, including Microsoft Outlook, Teams, and Microsoft Word, Excel, or PowerPoint.  This is a screen shot of my Microsoft Office page once I logged.  You can also access different apps through the 9 black dots in the upper right hand corner.

Once in Teams  you should see something like below

You can now choose a class to go.  Once in that Team page, you can go to Files, along the top banner.  This will allow you to see the Standard documents I posted, along with documents with a list of online resources.  Also each Teams page has a list of folders for Units.  At this point, those have resources I have used for the school year.  I will be updating those units with review packets as I find them.  This is also where I will be placing new materials, if we are required to move forward
