World Book Online (K-8)
World Book Online has three different levels of World Book Encyclopedias, in addition to several other resources.  Kids is great for K-2 students to read all about a variety of subjects.  It also has pictures, videos, activities, games, and projects.  Student is great for grades 3-5 and includes biography, current events, and timeline sections.  Advanced has articles for grades 6-8 as well as a section of In the Headlines.

In addition to the encyclopedias, World Book Online also has other resources, such as Early Learning, which contains videos, games, stories, and activities for younger children; eBooks; Activity Corner; and resources in languages other than English.

FindItVA
This is a collection of resources provided by the Library of Virginia.  You might need a public library card to access some of the resources.

TNS Library Catalog
You can find The Nokesville School listed on the left under Elementary Schools.  (I know we're K-8; I asked for our listing to be changed at the beginning of the year.)  Our link is way down under the letter "T" for "The."  (I know that's not how we alphabetize, but I'm hoping that will be changed, too.)

Once you get to the TNS page, select the Catalog tab at the top and then you can search for eBooks by changing the Material Type in the middle of the search box.  Your Office365 login should allow you to access our eBooks.

MackinVIA
Mackin has provided thousands of eBooks for free until September 30.  Log in with UserID nokesville and Password nokesville to search for books.  There are fiction and nonfiction books in a range from pre-school through middle school, so make sure you search for the right book for you.  You can read online, but if you want to "check out" the book, you'll need to log in with your Office 365 username (First 6 letters of your last name, First letter of your first name, Middle initial, last two digits of your graduation year) and password.

Prince William County Public Library
The public library has lots of eBooks available through Overdrive and Hoopla.  All you need is your library card!

You can also use your public library card to access a bunch of awesome databases.  To see all of the options, choose the Digital Library tab on the public library's homepage.
